The Building Blocks of Fun

This is the second set of these I've made. I shot for some pretty muted colors such that they could be passed around the family even after this little dude is through with them.

Longcor's Year One Down

Congrats to Adam and Erin! One year down....many more with grand adventures and tales to be told. Thanks for the opportunity to create a way to memorialize what year one held!

10 years or bust

Can you imagine all that is compiled in 10 years? A decade full. Congrats!

Emmy had a bebe!

What silly luck that little Jack would come just 15 minutes after my plane departed...but so very grateful that he came healthy and seemingly as perfect as can be.  It sure felt like a restful full gift to get to see Emily in those last days of pregnancy. And he was unnamed for a bit, but was fondly referred to as little bear throughout...so thus the little bear watercolor. I built some painted houses 'blocks' for him to play with his engineering smarty pants pops as well. Love this little family so so dear!

The Sobie's Year No. 1!

Congrats to the Sobie's on year No. 1

First Year Anniversary for the Johnson's

Happy First Anniversary to the Johnson's! I got to sneak in a few really fun images for this year in review- duck hunting, 1969 Cadillac, the venue they were married in! Sounds like a happy year one! Here's to many more!

A Spool of Beauty

Out on a morning jog I found 2 old wooden spools. I looked them over, connected loosely with an old metal rod, and continued on my run. I played them over and over in my mind, "could I do anything with it?" And this is somewhat the image that came to mind. I knew my in-laws were needing a new coffee table for their downstairs to better match the media center I had built them 2 years ago. So I put to work before Thanksgiving (I know this is quite a belated post) to have it down prior to the holiday so that we could transport it down to them. I am in love with how it turned out that,.....I may just make the other for us!

The season of gifting and creating

A fishing sketch with the topographic map of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and the prospective ski runs for a Fishing-Officiando turned Ski lover.

Two of the home sketches for friends of their 'first homes'

And a personal favorite, old discarded fence wood turned EAT lettering to don the kitchens of some of my favorite little chefs.
